Just in time for the holidays, there’s good news for chocolate lovers! Cocoa prices have dropped by about 50 percent since March. From the Wall Street Journal: “In U.S. trading Friday, cocoa fetched $1,936 a metric ton, down from a 32-year peak of $3,774 in March. A bumper West African crop has boosted cocoa supplies while the crisis in Europe — home to countries with the world’s highest per capita chocolate consumption — is putting a crimp in demand.” The graph tells the rest of the story.
