Harrisburg Bond Deals Need a Criminal Investigation

I regularly recommend Bond Girl (@munilass) on Twitter.  There’s also a link to her blog, Self-Evident, in my blogroll over to the right.  But her latest piece is so overwhelming in its detail and explanations that it deserves a link all its own.  She provides quite a bit of evidence pointing to the fact that Harrisburg bond deals should be referred to the Pennsylvania Attorney General.

In brief, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, went bankrupt after an inept attempt to refurbish a trash incinerator the city had purchased.  The title of Bond Girl’s post gives you the idea: Why Harrisburg’s bond deals need a criminal investigation.”  Highly recommended.
