Daniela Witten on the Singular Value Decomposition

A new Twitter account came to my attention a few days ago: @WomenInStat (Women In Statistics and Data Science).  Every week a new moderator is chosen to field questions.  When I discovered the group the moderator was Daniela Witten (@daniela_witten).  Dr. Witten is a Stanford alumnus.  Here’s her official title.  Her publications bring statistical methods and data analysis to biostatistics, a field sorely in need of her help. Her Twitter thread is a discussion of the singular value decomposition (SVD).
