Elon Bachman on Regulatory Capture

Mr. Bachman is a frequent tweeter (@ElonSays).  He is often critical of his nom-de-boondoggle Elon Musk.  But, oddly, he also knows about the market for electrical cables.

As I type this I am surrounded by cables.  RJ-45, USB, all manner of Apple charging cables, the list goes on and on.  Let’s not even get into the audio-video realm where the problems are those of the computer sector to the tenth power.

Forthwith, I give you Mr. Backman’s thoughts on the electrical cable industry, rent-seeking, and regulatory capture.  I will note, however, that the optimal quantity of electrical safety is not 100 percent safe.
