The US needs more ships.  This is almost beyond debate.  Sadly, the Jones Act has hamstrung domestic ship-building.  Our old pal Colin Grabow has some thoughts on rebuilding the US maritime industry.

It began with a fantasy-laden article in the Financial Times.
