This is just plain fun. Adding to the entertainment is the choice of noises: creak or Theramin.
This is the brainchild of Sam Gold. It’s available on Github. I discovered it in an article on Mac Power Users.
The app relies on a strange built-in function that measures the angle of the MacBook lid. For example,
Mr. Gold takes advantage of the angle being measured continuously. His clever app reports the angle and makes either a creak or Theramin (your choice) as you raise and lower the lid.
Readers well-versed in C are welcome to take a look at it. The container is a standard Github repo. Since this only runs on a Macbook, there is no need for the many versions required by most apps. Just download the .exe file and start creaking (or wailing).
